On October 21st, 2010,  Fujian Public Security Fire Brigade organized experts on preparedness training, fire protection and logistics support to FREP to conduct the special investigation on fire safety of petroleum storage. 

 

The investigation group went to LYW and QLS Terminals to investigate the jetties, oil tanks, and storage/transport/transfer and fire facilities. They also exchanged ideas with the leaders of HSE Department and Process Department on oil tank fire-extinguishing facilities, fire service vehicle management, organization of preparedness training, preparation of fire-extinguishing plan and logistics support.

 

The expert group highly appreciated the fire-fighting activities of FREP, for it has attached importance to fire-fighting input and provided guarantee for the fire safety of oil tanks. FREP’s fire safety management mode provided effective reference for Fujian oil tank safety management and handling of sudden-onset disasters.
